Questions that come up before and while using the product, answered plainly.
Getting started
- Do I need an account to use it?
- No. You can build and download a CV as a guest, with no sign-up. Sign in with Google or an email and password later to save your CVs to an account and reach them from another browser or device - your guest work moves onto the account when you do.
- What file formats can I upload?
- PDF, Word (.docx), plain text, Markdown, CSV, LaTeX, and image files (PNG, JPG, WebP). Older .doc files aren't supported - save as .docx or paste the text directly instead.
- Is it free?
- Yes, with daily limits rather than a paid plan: up to 25 CVs per account, 30 AI generations (resume extracts and chat edits combined) per day, and 3 PDF downloads per day. Editing in the builder itself isn't limited.
- Which languages does the interface support?
- English and Vietnamese. Switching the interface language never rewrites a CV you've already written - a CV keeps its own content language independent of whichever language you're browsing the site in.
Privacy and data
- Do you store the file I upload?
- No. Your browser reads the file and extracts its text; for a PDF, it also renders each page to a JPEG image locally. Only that extracted text and those page images are sent to build your CV - the original file itself is never uploaded or stored. The one binary file kept on the server is a profile photo, if you choose to add one, capped at 5 MB.
- Can I delete my CV?
- Yes, from the builder. Deleting a CV removes it along with its chat history, any cover letters drafted for it, and any pending AI jobs.
- Can I import from LinkedIn?
- No. We looked into it: LinkedIn's own sign-in API returns a name, email and photo but no work history, full profile data access is restricted to EU and Swiss members or gated behind an enterprise review, and a logged-out profile page hides the fields that would matter. The practical workaround is LinkedIn's own "Save to PDF" export on your profile - upload that PDF and it goes through the same extraction as any other resume.
Templates and export
- How many templates are there, and can I switch later?
- Eleven, each with its own layout, accent colour and font. You can switch templates at any point while editing without losing your content - see the resume templates page to compare them.
- Does it generate a cover letter too?
- One template, Orbit, ships a matching cover letter in the same layout and colour, generated from the same CV content. The other seven are CV-only for now.
- How do I get my CV as a PDF?
- The Download button in the builder renders your CV to a PDF right in your browser - no separate export step or file conversion. Free accounts get 3 downloads a day; editing and switching templates in between doesn't count against that.
